Aerial work platform and construction machinery rental in Trencin
Anyone renting aerial work platforms and construction machinery in Trencin rarely plans for a single point on the map. The city lies on the axis between Bratislava and Zilina, and the companies that need access equipment here are strung along the river like a chain: supplier halls, electronics manufacturing, logistics centres, with railway facilities and the expressway in between. A rental order here often means one machine, three addresses, one time window. This page maps the rental fleet to this logic and explains which inspection obligations Slovakia attaches to an aerial work platform.
The Vah corridor as a continuous industrial belt
Trencin is not an island but a section. North and south of the city, factory sites, business parks and handling areas line up within a few kilometres of valley width, because river, railway and road follow the same line. If you have a platform in Trencin for two weeks, you can use it at a second and third location along the axis within the same rental; we plan the relocation as part of the order, not as a new rental.
This requires the machine to suit all stations. The mid-range class has proven itself: electric scissor lifts cover hall maintenance, lighting, sprinklers and cable and pipe installation. Outdoors and on unpaved ground, diesel scissor lifts take over with a basket load of up to 1,134 kg.
Set-up areas between river, railway and slope
The valley is narrow and the factory plots are shaped accordingly: often only a few metres remain between the hall wall and the railway embankment, while on the other side the ground rises. The decisive question is therefore not 'How high?' but 'How do I reach this height with the set-up area available?'. For work over extensions, pipe bridges or stored material, articulating boom lifts are the right choice: the boom reaches over the obstacle instead of past it, the electric versions up to 28.00 m, the diesel models up to 48.15 m. Where no load-bearing surface is available, spider lifts with very low ground pressure are the alternative; for pure height on a facade, telescopic boom lifts deliver up to 56.90 m.
The rental fleet in figures
| Class | Working height | Basket load |
|---|---|---|
| Scissor lifts electric | 6.30 – 33.00 m | 227 – 1,000 kg |
| Scissor lifts diesel | 9.70 – 34.00 m | 363 – 1,134 kg |
| High-rack scissor lifts | 18.50 – 33.00 m | 450 – 1,000 kg |
| Articulating boom lifts | 10.89 – 48.15 m | 150 – 450 kg |
| Telescopic boom lifts | 14.00 – 56.90 m | 227 – 454 kg |
| Mast lifts | 10.00 – 12.65 m | 200 kg |
| Spider lifts | 13.00 – 39.50 m | 200 – 400 kg |
In distribution and spare parts warehouses along the axis, high-bay scissor lifts with a narrow track work in the racking aisle. For inspection rounds in occupied office wings, mast lifts are sufficient — they fit through standard doors and can be moved by one person.
Conversion of former textile and engineering sites
A second construction theme has little to do with new build: sites of the former textile and engineering industry are being stripped out, subdivided and reoccupied — interior demolition, roof refurbishment, new facades on old structural frames. For demolition in existing buildings, excavators with operating weights from 1.8 to 30 t are the basis: the small machines fit through hall doors and work on floor slabs, the large ones handle foundations and utility installation. The construction machinery overview shows what else is needed for earthworks and civil engineering.
Telehandlers and forklifts along the axis
Fixed telehandlers lift 4.30 to 18.80 m at 1.25 to 25 t and replace crane set-up on confined factory sites. Roto telehandlers with 15.42 to 38.90 m rotate all the way round from a single set-up position — exactly what counts when only one parking space is free between hall and track; inside buildings, the electric version works without local emissions. For materials handling, forklifts from 3 to 16 t and stackers with up to 5.50 m lift height complete the range.
Official tests: what you need to consider in Slovakia
There is one thing you should plan for before the first platform is set up in the corridor. Decree No. 508/2009 Coll. of the Slovak Ministry of Labour classifies a motorised mobile elevating work platform with a lift height of more than 1.5 m as group A lifting technical equipment — it therefore counts as designated technical equipment. This entails official tests and repeated official tests as well as formal requirements for operator qualification. Government Regulation No. 392/2006 Coll. and the occupational safety and health act No. 124/2006 Coll. also apply; testing is carried out to STN EN 280.
Every machine leaves our depot with a valid test certificate, CE documentation and operating manual; we keep track of test deadlines and maintenance history for the entire rental fleet. Risk assessment, operator qualification and instruction at the place of use are the hirer's responsibility — separately for each location along the axis, because the assessment does not travel with the platform. The visual and functional check before starting work remains the operator's obligation.
Transport to Trencin
Delivery to Trencin is made by low-loader directly to your site, using our own low-loaders or partner hauliers. We coordinate the date with your construction schedule or planned shutdown.
If several stations in the valley are planned, we plan the sequence in advance and invoice the relocation as part of the rental. For requirements lasting several months, long-term rental terms apply; we price platform and telehandler as a package. Locations further north, such as Povazska Bystrica, are served on the same route.
