Electric telehandlers combine the load capacity and reach of conventional telehandlers with a drive that is free of local emissions and low in noise. Luibl Rental rents models such as the Manitou MT 625e as well as Twin-Energy machines from Magni, which work electrically or on diesel depending on the job. With our own low-loader fleet we deliver throughout Slovakia directly to your site; delivery to other European countries is possible on request.

Lithium-ion drive compared with a diesel engine

Switching to an electric drive in telehandlers affects not just the motor but the entire drive and hydraulic architecture. Battery management and the charging cycles of the lithium-ion systems used are decisive for operation. Unlike lead-acid batteries, modern lithium-ion batteries enable:

  • opportunity charging during work breaks without memory effect
  • constant power output with full torque regardless of charge level
  • lower maintenance effort, as there is no need to top up battery water

Another technical difference lies in the hydraulics: while with diesel engines the hydraulic pump often runs at idle, an electric telehandler only consumes energy when it is actually driving, lifting or slewing. This increases the net operating time per charge and lowers operating costs.

Battery capacity, charging time and charging connections

The specific battery and charging data are decisive when planning a job. Battery capacity, charging time, available charging connections and charging power vary depending on the model and application. Luibl Rental advises on the right configuration for single- and multi-shift operation and agrees the on-site charging infrastructure with you. Twin-Energy models, such as those in the Magni RTH range, also have an auxiliary diesel drive. This allows switching between electric and diesel operation depending on the location - for example electric in the hall and diesel for longer journeys on the outdoor premises, without the need for a second machine.

Main applications for electric telehandlers

Electric telehandlers are now specifically required in many tenders. Luibl Rental serves three areas in particular:

Main applications: where electric solutions are the only option

The use of electric telehandlers is now mandatory in many tenders. Luibl Rental serves three core areas in particular:

Indoor logistics and factory halls

In enclosed halls, for example in the food industry or the pharmaceutical sector, exhaust fumes are an exclusion criterion. An electric telehandler allows racking installation and maintenance work on ceiling structures without affecting the air quality in the hall. Quiet operation also reduces the noise burden for other staff in the hall.

Tunnel construction and underground car park renovation

In areas with limited ventilation, companies using electric machines save investment and operating costs for large extraction systems. The compact design of many electric models also makes work under height restrictions easier.

Night sites and urban areas

Noise protection rules in city centres often restrict the use of loud machines after 8 pm. Electric telehandlers from Luibl Rental work quietly, making it easier to comply with local noise limits during multi-shift operations.

Selection criteria for the right model

Electric telehandlers are particularly suited to halls, tunnels, inner-city sites and other emission- or noise-sensitive areas. When choosing the right model, the decisive factors are load capacity, lift height, outreach, machine dimensions, battery capacity, charging connection and planned duration of use. Luibl Rental supports you with the technical machine selection and organises delivery throughout Slovakia and, on request, to other European countries.

Performance and roto functionality

Electric telehandlers now achieve load capacities of 5 tonnes and more and, with booms reaching lift heights of up to 26 metres, cover a large share of industrial installation work. Integrating 360-degree rotation into electric machines requires loss-free energy transfer through the slewing ring. Luibl Rental relies on slip ring technology in the Magni roto models it offers.

Cost-effectiveness in rental

Renting an electric telehandler offers several economic advantages:

  • electricity costs per operating hour are often lower than the fuel costs of a comparable diesel machine
  • lower maintenance effort: no engine oil filter changes, no AdBlue treatment
  • using machines without local emissions supports sustainability reporting, for example in public procurement

Safety and certification

Electric telehandlers from Luibl Rental feature the same safety systems as their diesel counterparts, plus battery-specific monitoring:

  • digital load moment indicator (LMI) with real-time stability monitoring
  • integrated diagnostics that detect voltage drops or thermal anomalies in the battery pack and trigger protective measures
  • inspection of all electrical components under Government Regulation No. 392/2006 Coll. (work equipment)

FAQ: Electric telehandler rental

chevronDown

What range do electric telehandlers have per battery charge?

The operating time per charge depends on battery capacity, type of use and load profile. As electric telehandlers only consume energy when actually moving, the net operating time is often longer than that of diesel machines that idle. Luibl Rental will advise you on the right model for your specific shift operation.

What is a Twin-Energy telehandler?

Twin-Energy models have an electric drive and an additional diesel drive in one machine. They can be switched depending on the place of use, for example electric in the hall and diesel for longer outdoor work.

What requirements apply to use in halls?

For use in halls, machine dimensions, turning circle and ground clearance are particularly relevant. Luibl Rental checks with you which model suits the spatial conditions of your hall.

How is delivery of electric telehandlers organised?

Luibl Rental delivers with its own low-loader fleet throughout Slovakia directly to the site. Delivery to other European countries is possible on request.
