Zoomlion aerial work platform rental – fully electric telescopic boom lifts up to 28.7 m
Zoomlion is one of the largest manufacturers of construction machinery worldwide – and in access equipment one of the suppliers that has pushed the shift to battery-electric drive most consistently. At Luibl Rental you can rent Zoomlion aerial work platforms of the ZT series: three fully electric telescopic boom lifts with working heights from 20.60 m to 28.70 m that work without local emissions and are still suitable for rough terrain. We deliver throughout Slovakia, with transport and briefing on request.

Zoomlion electric telescopic boom lifts up to 28.7 m
Our Zoomlion rental fleet targets a gap that the market left open for a long time: large working heights without a combustion engine. All three machines come from the ZT series, the telescopic boom lift range of Zoomlion Access, and were built in 2024.
Zoomlion ZT18JE-Li – 20.60 m working height
The most compact of the three machines. 13.30 m outreach, 300 kg load capacity, 8,600 kg dead weight and a transport height of only 2.57 m. The entry into the electric telescopic class when space is tight.
Zoomlion ZT21JE-Li – 22.95 m working height
Three-section boom, 15.50 m outreach and dual load capacity: up to 454 kg in the restricted working range. This allows two fitters with tools and material to go up in one lift.
Zoomlion ZT26JE – 28.70 m working height
The largest machine in the Zoomlion fleet, with 22.10 m outreach and an 80-volt lithium system. A height class otherwise offered almost exclusively with diesel drive.
All three platforms feature a superstructure with endless 360-degree rotation, a platform that swivels by +/-90 degrees and a jib that allows working points behind and above obstacles to be reached.
Fully electric and still suitable for rough terrain
The common reservation about electric platforms is: good for indoors, unsuitable for the construction site. This does not apply to the ZT series. The machines stand on a rough-terrain chassis with four-wheel drive and a permanently active oscillating axle and can handle gradients of up to 45 % (24 degrees). The tyres are foam-filled, so punctures are eliminated as a cause of downtime.
The energy is supplied by lithium-ion systems – 51.2 and 51.52 volts respectively on the two smaller machines, 80 volts on the ZT26JE. Compared with conventional lead-acid batteries, this provides more usable capacity at lower weight and significantly shorter charging times. Travel and lift drives use maintenance-free electric motors.
For operation, this means three things: no local exhaust emissions, a noticeably lower noise level and no fuel logistics on site – no canisters, no refuelling, no storage of substances hazardous to water.
When an electric telescopic boom lift pays off
Electric drive is not an end in itself. There are specific situations in which it decides whether a job can be carried out at all:
- Maintenance during operation. In production halls, logistics centres and warehouses where staff are permanently present, a diesel platform is generally ruled out.
- Emission restrictions in city centres. Low-emission zones and project-specific requirements increasingly exclude combustion engines.
- Night and weekend work near residential areas. Noise protection requirements are much easier to meet with a battery machine.
- Enclosed areas. Underground car parks, multi-storey car parks, tunnels and halls without adequate ventilation.
- Sensitive production environments. Food, pharmaceutical and electronics manufacturing with air quality requirements.
If one of these situations also requires a working height of more than 20 metres, the choice on the market quickly narrows. That is exactly why we added the Zoomlion ZT series to our rental fleet.
Zoomlion Access: manufacturer and safety
Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science and Technology Co., Ltd. was founded in 1992 and is headquartered in Changsha in China's Hunan province. The company is listed on the Shenzhen and Hong Kong stock exchanges and develops and manufactures construction and agricultural machinery across 18 product categories. Its access equipment is grouped under the Zoomlion Access brand; the ranges include scissor lifts, articulating boom lifts and the ZT series telescopic boom lifts. The machines we use carry CE marking and meet European requirements for aerial work platforms.
Safety, inspections and briefing
Every machine in our rental fleet is maintained in accordance with STN EN 280 and undergoes regular inspections and tests of technical equipment (Decree No. 508/2009 Coll.). The operation of aerial work platforms is governed by Government Regulation No. 392/2006 Coll. (work equipment) and occupational safety rules (Act No. 124/2006 Coll.): operators must hold a written confirmation of verified expertise issued by a certified inspection technician (Section 17(3) Decree No. 508/2009 Coll.), or for truck-mounted platforms a valid operator certificate (Section 17(1)(b) Decree No. 508/2009 Coll.), and be briefed. We provide an operator briefing on handover.
For all jobs on telescopic boom lifts we recommend suitable personal fall protection equipment and help you choose the machine based on load charts, set-up area and ground conditions at your site.
