These factors determine the rental price
Rental period and volume discounts
The longer the rental period, the lower the effective daily rate. Weekly rentals cost about 4–5 times the daily rate (instead of 7 times), monthly rentals 12–15 times. For projects of more than 4 weeks, it pays to request a quote directly from the rental company.
Transport and delivery distance
Transport is not included in the daily prices above. Luibl Rental delivers by low-loader from its own fleet throughout Slovakia – transport costs depend on the delivery distance and platform class. For machines up to about 16 m, €200–500 per delivery may apply depending on the location; for large machines and long distances, correspondingly more. For specific transport costs: send an enquiry.
Season and availability
In high summer (June–August) and when many projects coincide, the availability of certain classes may be limited. Early reservation secures availability and stable terms.
Insurance and accessories
Rental machines from Luibl Rental are delivered with a valid inspection and test. For damage to rented equipment, rental equipment insurance is recommended – costs vary depending on the scope of cover. Accessories (basket extensions, additional mounting plates, trailers for truck-mounted platforms) can be booked additionally, subject to availability.

Avoiding hidden costs: checklist for comparing rentals
When comparing rental offers, pay attention to the following points:
- Is transport included in both offers or charged separately?
- Is there an excess for damage – or is insurance included?
- What is the minimum rental period?
- Does the machine have a valid inspection and test and a certificate for it?
- When is the return, and are there costs for late collection?
- Does the machine meet the Stage V emission standard (relevant for low-emission zones)?
Rent or buy: when is buying worthwhile?
Buying your own aerial work platform typically pays for itself from about 150–250 days of use per year – depending on the machine class and purchase price. For most trade and construction companies that do not need a platform permanently, renting is the more economical solution: no tied-up capital, no inspection and maintenance costs, no storage. How to calculate the break-even point for your company is shown in the guide Rent or buy a lifting platform?
